The construction of Engineered Solid doors gives it the consistency and durability of a solid wood door while ensuring its stability over the years. Our current selection of veneers include: Ash, Beech, Birch, Chinese Mahogany, Chinese Walnut, Clear Pine, Hemlock, Knotty Pine, Mongolian Scotch Pine, Red Oak, Sapele and White Oak.
Item Remarks
Surface Quality of Veneers 1- Naturally harmonious colour variation among surfaces of stiles,     rails, mullions and panels is allowed.
2- All surfaces to be levelled and smooth.
3- All joints to be flush.
4- Ungluing or glue bubbles on door's surface are not allowed.
5- Dead knots, wormholes, rot or cracks on door's surface are not     allowed.
6- Glue contamination, oil contamination or scratches on door's     surface are not allowed.
7- Dents to be no deeper than 0.5 mm .
General Quality Standards

1- Moisture content = 8-10%.
2- Core and veneers are of the same wood type.
3- Thickness of edge strips and end caps to be no less than 8mm     thick.
4- Veneers to be 2.5 -3.0 mm thick.
5- Core material can be finger jointed and laminated with no     restriction on colour variation.
6- Dead knots, wormholes, rot or cracks are not allowed.
7- Glue laminating of edge strips and end caps on to stiles and rails is     allowed.
8- Glue laminated joints to be tight and firm.

9- Panels can be glue laminated but not finger jointed. If panel width is = 300 mm up to 3 glue laminated pieces are allowed to make up the width of the panel. If 301 mm = panel width = 400 mm , up to 4 pieces are allowed. If panel width is = 400 mm , up to 6 pieces are allowed.

10- Toughened glass to be 6mm thick, bevelled on all four sides of one surface. Bevel length: 30mm . Glass must be fixed tightly and be free of defects such as cracks, scratches, unevenness and dents.
